Dear Earl Scheib;

During the week of June 7th, I almost reluctantly agreed to allow my car to be painted at Earl Scheib #247 Montclair CA. I say reluctantly because I once had my care painted at One-Day-Paint and they returned my car to me a mess. I got screwed. Shortly thereafter two people paid me the courtesy of running into me on two different occasions.

My car look like a piece of junk for more than a year and a half. I didn't want to trust anybody to repaint or fix the body damage on my 1998 Nissan Maxima. I truly was afraid of paying hundreds of dollars and getting burned again.

On Sunday I was listening to the Motorman on the radio and one of your Executives was on the radio. He talked about your company and I began to believe that I could trust you. Once the Motorman put his seal of approval on you guys, I knew I could trust you. What finally sealed it for me was that sale you guys had going on. I was able to have my car repainted with your top paint job at a heavily reduced price and I was able to receive the Motorman discount on top of that.

So I overcame my fears and called up Victor at your store on Central Avenue in Ontario CA. Now I know I made a decision that would please me enormously. Everything went right, and I was pleased with my paint job.

Victor was the model of customer service. He paid close attention to my concerns and desires. He listened patiently to me without interruption. He respected my point of view. Victor gave me the definite impression that he was treating my car as if it were his own car. I peppered him with a thousand and one questions. He patiently and respectfully answered each one. And with each successive answer, I felt more confident about paying more money to have my car repainted and the body damage fixed. If it weren't for Victor, I probably would have walked. Instead you not only have a life-long customer, but a "Missionary" who will continue to tell others about his positive experience with you.

In conclusion, I personally saw Victor treat other customers with the same dignity, respect and patience with which he treated me. You truly have a genuine asset in him that would be difficult to calculate merely by observing the bottom line of a balance sheet. He is more than a manager, he is an ambassador of good will for Earl Scheib.

PS. The car rental deal was extremely important to me to complete the repainting of my Nissan Maxima. Also, when the agent was driving me back, I told him about my experience with One-Day-Paint, and then Earl Scheib. He said thanks. He had intended to get an estimate at One-Day-Paint for his car. Now he is going to Earl Scheib.
